The varsity girls team posted an impressive 2nd place team finish, led by Kinley Stevens who was scored in 5th place overall with a time of 19:01.49. Allie Hillers and Claire Henderson also made the All-Region team with 12th and 13th place finishes respectively. Hillers finished the race in 20:13.05, with Henderson at 20:13.57
In the boys varsity race, Elliot Gerst finished in 12th and Tristian Miller finished 14th. Both landed on the All-Region team for the Bulldogs, as the pair helped Boiling Springs to a 4th place team finish. Gerst crossed the line in 16:59.12, while Miller did so in 17:13.01
In the JV races, Tristan Bender led the boys to a 4th place finish with a time of 20:44.97, while Brianna Orvalle helped the girls to 5th with a time of 24:18.72
Head coach Drew Thomas was proud of his entire team after the event.
“We've really been building. We had a good season opener at the Eye Opener then kind of lolled through the rest of the month of September,” said Thomas.
“This is the first race we've had since September but our kids raced for the heart today. I cannot be more proud of them. A couple of them really grew up and stepped up today and that's all you ask for this time of year,” he added.
The Bulldogs will now prepare for the Spartanburg County Championship Meet, scheduled for October 31st at 9AM at the Milliken Research Center.

Our Fall Festival is less than a week away! Come dressed in your Halloween best for the BSHS Fall Festival Tuesday, October 27 from 6:30pm-8:30pm in the main campus courtyard.

"This award recognizes teachers who strive to motivate students, have a positive impact on students’ reading, and inspire a love and appreciation of reading.” said Dr. Jamie Dawson, our Director of Literacy.
Mrs. Jackson was selected among an amazing group of teachers for her distinction in the secondary grades.
“She is the kind of teacher who shows her students that literacy is a tool for learning, thinking, and making sense of the world” said Dawson. “She teaches her students to read, write, think, and speak like scientists, while helping them see that literacy belongs in every classroom and every discipline."
Mrs. Brill was the recipient of the elementary level recognition.
“She is passionate about helping her students become capable and confident readers. She works hard to create a classroom where reading is engaging, exciting, and something students enjoy” Dawson said. “She builds meaningful relationships and a true community of readers, and many of those connections continue long after her students leave fifth grade."
Both Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Brill will complete a professional portfolio that will go to the Spartanburg Council of the Palmetto State Literacy Association and each is eligible for the county-wide award, to be announced later this year. #D2DifferenceMakers

We want to share these renderings of some proposed upgrades to our athletic facilities.
They include the addition of handrails for safety at Bulldog Stadium along with a new press box, new storage area for our band, new locker rooms and ticket entrances for baseball and softball, new locker rooms for spring sports, and much more.
All of the improvements are aimed at better serving our students and community.
On Election Day, you will have the opportunity to vote on funding for these proposals as part of a 2-question bond referendum.
The work here at BSHS, is included as part of Question 2.

Earlier this week, the Boiling Springs High School orchestra took to the stage for its Fall 2026 concert, ‘Forces of Nature.’
Hoping to create a show that speaks to the senses, BSHS Orchestra Director Adam Noel constructed a concert that featured several unique musical compositions.
“This show originated with just a couple of pieces, like the Beethoven Symphony, and I've been trying to do themes recently, because I think it ties together the music better, not just for the students, but for the audiences. It gives us something to bounce off, which is kind of fun,” said Noel. “This one doesn't have a real strong emotional theme to it, but it's more just imagining wonderful things that you've experienced in nature. That's what it’s about, making a connection between something tangible and music.”
Thursday night’s performance also featured three different sections of the BSHS orchestra program, including the chamber orchestra, symphonic orchestra, and concert orchestra. #2sGotTalent

"I want our girls to grow into young women who understand the importance of serving others, showing respect, and building up those around them," said Boiling Springs High School Cheer Coach Kenzie Crowe.
Coach Crowe's Cheerleaders spent the morning opening car doors and greeting students with a smile to start off a very Happy Friday. #D2isFamily
"These small acts of kindness help develop character, strengthen leadership skills, and remind our athletes that the way we treat people matters just as much as how we perform," Crowe said.
"We are proud to represent BSHS and want our girls to leave a positive impression wherever they go. If we can make another person feel welcomed encouraged or excited to be here then we have already made a difference. That is the kind of leadership and character we want to build in our Bulldog Cheerleaders!" #D2DifferenceMakers
