D2 Family,

Congratulations to Jonathan Steadman, our D2 Chick-fil-A of Boiling Springs Fine Arts Student of the Week! #2sGotTalent
"Jonathan is an exceptionally motivated musician. He currently plays in SPYO, Rutherford Symphony and the BSHS Orchestra where he is concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra. Jonathan has a great attitude towards his peers, and always seeks to bring them into side projects in music, encouraging them to excel musically and interpersonally. Recently Jonathan earned a seat in the Region one honor orchestra sitting in the first violin section, and hopes to play for All-State as well. I am grateful for Jonathan's energy and leadership in the group."

Join us in congratulating our D2 Chick-fil-A of Boiling Springs Student Athlete of the Week Collin Johnson from Boiling Springs High School BSHS Athletics! #2sGotTalent
"Collin is a senior offensive lineman at Boiling Springs High School who exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded student-athlete. Last week, he set a school record with an impressive 13 knockdown blocks against Spartanburg High School. His dedication to excellence extends well beyond the football field, as he maintains a core GPA above 3.5 while competing in two varsity sports—football in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. When he isn't competing, Collin can be found working hard in the classroom and weight room, consistently demonstrating his commitment to academics and athletics. A respected student leader, Collin sets a positive example for his peers through his work ethic, leadership, and character. He represents Boiling Springs High School and its athletic programs with pride, making him an outstanding candidate for Student-Athlete of the Week."

The Boiling Springs High School cross country team took part in the Region II 5A Championships at Dorman High School on Wednesday evening, returning to the course for the first time since September with a strong showing. #2sGotTalent
The varsity girls team posted an impressive 2nd place team finish, led by Kinley Stevens who was scored in 5th place overall with a time of 19:01.49. Allie Hillers and Claire Henderson also made the All-Region team with 12th and 13th place finishes respectively. Hillers finished the race in 20:13.05, with Henderson at 20:13.57
In the boys varsity race, Elliot Gerst finished in 12th and Tristian Miller finished 14th. Both landed on the All-Region team for the Bulldogs, as the pair helped Boiling Springs to a 4th place team finish. Gerst crossed the line in 16:59.12, while Miller did so in 17:13.01
In the JV races, Tristan Bender led the boys to a 4th place finish with a time of 20:44.97, while Brianna Orvalle helped the girls to 5th with a time of 24:18.72
Head coach Drew Thomas was proud of his entire team after the event.
“We've really been building. We had a good season opener at the Eye Opener then kind of lolled through the rest of the month of September,” said Thomas.
“This is the first race we've had since September but our kids raced for the heart today. I cannot be more proud of them. A couple of them really grew up and stepped up today and that's all you ask for this time of year,” he added.
The Bulldogs will now prepare for the Spartanburg County Championship Meet, scheduled for October 31st at 9AM at the Milliken Research Center.
