Return -2- Play

Dear D2 Families,

We are excited that the time has come for our Student-Athletes to return to the field of competition! We know that they, and their coaches, are excited too!

Our community has always been very supportive of our athletic programs, and we are asking you to continue that wonderful partnership by helping us provide a safe environment for our students to compete, and for our fans to enjoy the games.

Spartanburg School District 2 is committed to, following the safety protocols set forth by the South Carolina High School League as we Return -2- Play. Our protocols may exceed these requirements in the interest of safety.

Our number one priority is the safety of our athletes, students, coaches, fans and all that visit our campuses to enjoy our athletic competitions.

  • At each of our Middle and High Schools you can expect there to be limited seating in order to provide adequate social distancing. Because of this there will be limited tickets available to our events. Ticket priority will be given first to students and parents/guardians of event participants (team members, cheerleaders, band, color guard, etc.), then to the community at large. Each school will communicate their ticketing procedures.
  • Because of the limited number of seats available, we will not be able to honor VIP and other passes.
  •  Additionally, face coverings will be required at all times during your visit to our campuses. We ask that you please put on your face covering as soon as you exit your vehicle. Entrance is not permitted without a face covering.
  • Fans will not be allowed to congregate, and social distancing of at least six feet will be required at all times. Families are not subject to social distancing requirement once seated.
  • If concessions are available at an event, they will be prepackaged.  There will be clear signage around each athletic facility to help promote safety protocols. We ask that you please be on the lookout for this important guidance. 
  • We ask that you please stay home if you have been diagnosed with COVID19, are currently under quarantine for close contact, or have any of the following with or without fever:
    •Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing -or – Loss of taste or  smell -or – New or worsening cough
    •This is not a complete list of all symptoms of COVID-19, but only those that should trigger an automatic exclusion and evaluation for COVID-19. Other symptoms may include: fever, chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea. Many COVID-19 cases show no symptoms at all, and a person is able to spread the virus up to two (2) days before they have any symptoms. Given the overlap of these symptoms with other more common illnesses and the lack of symptoms in many cases, it is not possible to identify and exclude all cases of COVID-19 through screening of symptoms. Careful preventive actions within the school are needed to reduce the chances of spread.

BOILING SPRINGS FALL SEASON ATHLETIC
TICKETS PURCHASING GUIDELINES FOR HOME GAMES

FOOTBALL: The parents of players, Band members, and Cheerleaders will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets 1st . Our student body and faculty will follow 2nd and the remainder of our available tickets will go on sale to the public.

Distribution: Varsity football players, Band members, and Cheerleaders will receive a ticket request form 10 days before a home game (WEDNESDAY). Parents may purchase 2 tickets. Price will be on the form. If using cash, exact change is requested. The request and payment should be returned by Friday of that week to insure tickets. Communication between parent and player is vital during this time.
Students /Faculty: Tickets will go on sale to our student body and faculty Monday and Tuesday of Game week. There will be designated areas and times in the school to purchase tickets. Students will be allowed the purchase 1 ticket each.
Public: On Wednesday and Thursday of game week, from 10AM-2PM (or until tickets sell out), Remaining Tickets will go on sale to the public. The number of tickets may vary for each home game. We will use a drive up method for purchasing tickets. The public may purchase 2 tickets.
1. Enter campus at Freshman Academy entrance.
2. Follow signs to ticket booth at scoreboard end of stadium.
3. Ticket salesman will handle transaction at your vehicle.
4. $6 per ticket, cash only, and exact change is requested.
5. Follow signs to exit campus through back gate onto McMillin Blvd.

Reserved Parking: Reserved Parking will be sold on 1st come ,1st serve basis at each home game. Payment will be taken up at the location. Parking will be at two locations:
1. Freshman Academy front lot.
2. Legacy lot in back of school in front of athletic building.
3. Parking will be $10.00 per game.
4. Lots will close when spaces are full.
5. Cash only .
6. Exact change is requested.

C-Team, JV, Volleyball: Tickets will be sold at event until available seats are sold out. Sold out signs will be placed outside venue when capacity has been reached.
1. Tickets are $5 each
2. Cash only
3. Exact change is requested.
4. Follow posted signs to ticket sales and stadium /gym entrances.
